Star Trek Audio Production Class Project

For my audio production class final project, I was tasked with replacing all the sound from a scene in 2009's Star Trek reboot. Over the project's month-long duration, I tackled composing an audiovisual cue sheet, recording foley sound effects (including unique footsteps for each character), finding science fiction SFX from libraries, networking to cast actors, coordinating schedules for eight different actors, directing the actors to deliver a believable performance, running recording sessions for ADR voice over, editing voice and sound effects, mixing, mastering, and project management to ensure completion by the due date. My project is now used as a class example when introducing new students to the task.

Gluv B4 U Go

My winning entry to Impact Teen Driver's Create Real Impact scholarship competition. The contest engages teens to design creative and educational content in several categories (digital media, music, video, and writing) with the intention of reducing reckless and distracted driving. Since I found most distracted driving adverts beat their audience over the head with drudgery, effectively turning them off from listening, I took a comedic angle on the subject.

Viral - GISH 2020

Created for the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt 2020 Halloween Edition. Prompt: "We’re tired of all the cute baby animal videos on the Internet. Okay, not really, but there’s no reason they shouldn’t be Halloween’ed. Re-cut cute baby animal videos to appear sinister and seasonally thematic. WE DO NOT WANT OR ALLOW VIDEOS OF BAD THINGS HAPPENING TO ANIMALS. We want to see videos of cute, happy animals, but these videos would be edited cleverly with an ominous score and good effects so it is creepy and scary."

Fortune's Folly: Wouldn't Make You Mine Music Video

Fortune's Folly, an alternative rock band, cast me as the lead actor for a music video. It was up to me to discover the inner life of the character, then bring it to life for the camera. The shoot required a few stunt shots, such as falling from a twenty foot cliff, which I performed myself. The production was highly collaborative, requiring strong communication between myself, the director, the cinematographer, other actors, and the band.
